Accounts Receivable Supervisor

Location: Champlin, MN

Egan Company is seeking an Accounts Receivable Supervisor to join our Accounting team in Champlin, MN. In this role you'll be responsible for leading the service management Accounts Receivable team, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of a high volume of accounts receivables transactions. This is a flexible, hybrid position allowing you to work a blend of in the office and at home.

Responsibilities

The basic responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Supervisor include but are not limited to the following:

  • Supervise and lead the service management A/R team.

  • Oversee the timely and accurate processing of invoices, credit memos, and other billing-related documents.

  • Prepare and analyze monthly accounts receivable reports.

  • Provide support during audits, including gathering documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.

  • Resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

  • Calculate, report, and monitor performance metrics.

  • Ensure compliance with billing policies, procedures, and methods - update and recommend changes as needed.

  • Continuously identify process improvements and implement best practices to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.

  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, providing coaching and development opportunities for team members.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A two-year college degree in Accounting (preferred) and 2-5 years’ experience in a related industry required.

Qualifications

  • Experience billing in the Construction or Manufacturing industry.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains is preferred.

  • Experience in a paperless environment.

  • Previous accounts receivable supervision experience including billing, troubleshooting and customer service.

  • Understanding of local sales tax as it relates to billing.

  • Proficiency in the use of standard office computer programs such as Google Suite, Word, and Excel.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently with little direction, as well as being comfortable in a team environment.

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

  • Attention to detail - ability to prioritize and organize daily workload.

  • Exposure to process improvement ideas in an accounting setting is highly desired.
